weekend in pictures

Boy 1 brought home a new instrument from school this weekend- a double bass. It’s huge! And this one is only 3/4 size! It’s quite and adventure getting it in and out of the car. The living room is officially dripping in musical intruments: guitars (both acoustic and electric), drums, a double bass, there is even a ukulele hanging on the wall!

Cookie making for Boy 2. They were chocolate chip, decidedly non-vegan, and so delicious.

Basting of Boy 1’s quilt! Yay! The dreaded basting is over! Now, to quilt it…

Some sewing for the etsy shop.

The first signs of fall. We’ll just ignore the fact that it is 90 degrees outside.

What a great quilt you are making! I especially like the book. Is it a good one?

And the cello…you have to truly love that instrument.

Thank you so much for stopping by the cottage.

Whoa! That is one serious looking instrument! I can imagine your stress levels trying to get it out of the car and into the house in one piece!

Your quilt is looking great. I love the blocks, they are really interesting to look at. Isn’t basting the worst? It’s truly painful. It’s nice to have it behind you.

Are they burping cloths that you’ve made for your shop? They look wonderful. Much more attractive than a terry cloth nappy slung over your shoulder that is for sure!
